Web3 inches about the max you can go with KDSS. I went with Bilstein 6112/5160 combo, Icon light springs in rear and 700lb springs up front. I did add UCAs to avoid any alignment issues. Vendor told me it was not necessary, but was leaving on a trip the week everything was to arrive and did not want alignment issues to be a factor. WebMay 19, 2010 · Yes it is hydraulic, but perform the same function as an auto disconnect. The KDSS is hydraulic. There is a hydraulic cylinder located on the left front of the front sway bar mount and it raises and lowers that mount to make the sway bar ineffective when needed. The passenger side mount is a fix length link.

KDSS is much more for on-road performance, in that it limits body roll in harder cornering. Having said that, a TRD off road is going to be very capable, with or without KDSS.
WebFeb 19, 2014 · The lift install how-to doesn't mention draining and filling the KDSS system. The repair manual says to drain the system prior to removing the stabilizer bar, then to pressurize it with fluid and bleed the air towards the end of the install. Makes sense.

That's not to say the SR5 did not perform well, as evidenced by my mileage in 21 months. Off road, I honestly cannot tell the difference from the SR5. Again my off roading is not extreme.
